Real learning. Building strong foundations for lasting growth.
Hands-On & Real-World Learning
Through gardening and project-based activities, children explore science, math, and problem-solving in meaningful, real-world contexts.
Experienced Leadership
The program is designed and led by a mental health clinician and Radford University professor in Teacher Education, bringing a unique combination of academic expertise and social-emotional support to the summer experience.
Academic Enrichment
Children engage in daily, small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math, designed to maintain and strengthen core skills while building confidence and independence. Social-emotional learning is woven throughout the program, helping children develop self-regulation and strengthen positive relationships with peers.
Support & Individualized Attention
Children participate in small groups, allowing for meaningful support and attention throughout the day. For those who benefit from additional structure, optional one-on-one or increased support is available to help them feel confident and successful.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
Through collaborative, project-based activities, children work together to solve problems, think critically, and share ideas in meaningful ways. These experiences foster teamwork, communication, and confidence while helping children learn how to approach challenges thoughtfully and creatively.
